ABOUT HOTEL

The heart of the Four Seasons Hydra is the centuries-old stone mansion that stands out from the scenic natural surroundings. Standing between the mountain and the sea, it provides magnificent panoramic views to the known Vlychos beach right in front of the hotel, with its calm, crystal-clear water.

In an island full of character, Four Seasons Hydra lies on a marvelous secluded beach, yet at the same time, it is very close to the port of Hydra – where our guests can get for free with our own boat. The hotel was fully renovated in 2008 and offers a unique accommodation option for visitors who desire a vacation like no other.

LOCATION

Hydra, built in the shape of an amphitheatre on a slope overlooking the Argosaronic gulf, is one of the most romantic destinations in Greece. Traditional stone mansions, narrow cobblestoned streets, secluded squares and above all the banning of cars and the use of around 500 donkeys as means of public transportation, explain the reason why Hydra preserved its distinctive atmosphere through the passage of time.

Hydra is also a yachting paradise, as every summer groups of sailing boats moor at the harbour, where they are joined by dozens of sensational motorboats and yachts. It’s worth mentioning that Hydra became famous all over the world thanks to the film “Boy on a Dolphin”, shot on the island in 1957 with Sophia Loren leading the starring role.
